The EGR valve in my Honda Accord 98, the malfunction has been about 6 months. If I am not obliged to pass the emissions test on (which is not automatically activated when the engine is light control), then I have to fix the valve (it costs $ 250). Is the failure of the EGR valve has no effect on the long-term performance of the engine from 98 Honda Accord?
